All lights and signs are on a three year equipment maintenance programme and have an annual cleaning schedule, with bollards cleaned every two months. Also, all lights, signs and bollards have cyclical 72 month electrical and 36 month structural checks.
The Street Lighting Department also prepares plans and provides information for new lighting schemes, and gives advice on any street lighting queries.
Members of the public are able to report defective lighting by contacting the free 'Lights Out Line' on 0800 7835675, by contacting the Street Lighting Office directly on 01432 260570 or at any of the INFO Offices.
To enable accurate fault logging the following information needs to be provided: Street name, Point /Column number, Location and Description of the fault, along with your name and contact number.
