Closures and Diversions

If works on the highway, or some large deliveries or events, require a road to be closed, the Highway Authority must issue a traffic regulation order.

All costs involved for for both the closure and any diversion signing must be met by the person requesting the closure.

At least 6 weeks notice is required to allow for the necessary legal and consultative process to be undertaken.
