Timetable Information

Train timetables for lines serving Herefordshire are included in the Council's Area Bus and Train Timetables. For details of publication dates please see the Bus Service Information page. Information on train times and fares can be obtained from the National Rail website in the External Links box below.

Train Timetables

The current train timetables came into effect on 18th May on all lines and will operate 13th December 2008 although there will be some changes, particularly to weekend services from 14th September 2008.

The main changes from 18th May 2008 are:

Table 1 Hereford - Oxford - London:

• The 0542 Hereford-London train is retimed to depart at 0535 and runs up to 7 minutes earlier between Hereford and Oxford.

Table 1A Leominster - Hereford - London via connections at Newport

• Weekend engineering work between Hereford and Newport has been completed and normal service has resumed. However on SUNDAYS the line through the Severn Tunnel between Newport and Bristol Parkway will be closed until 14 September. Trains between Newport and London Paddington are rerouted via Gloucester, adding an hour to journey times. Bristol Parkway is served by bus from/to Newport.

Table 5 Hereford-West Wales

• IMPORTANT! Please note that there is an error in the Sunday timetable from Hereford to West Wales. The 1011 Hereford - Fishguard Harbour train does not operate. Passengers for Cardiff should travel on the 10.00 Hereford - Barry Island train and passengers for West Wales should change at Cardiff.
