This new guide is full of information on the health benefits of
increased walking, with hints and tips on how to increase your
activity and contacts for organised walks in the county. It also
contains a pedometer journal to enable you to keep a record of your
step count and track your progress.

Herefordshire Council offers free cycling lessons to adults in a bid to encourage more cycling. One-to-one sessions, which normally cost £20, are available from professional instructors for a limited period.
Training is tailored to individual needs. Sessions can cover everything from guidance on choosing a suitable bike and advice on route selection as well as comprehensive training in all elements of on-road cycling. Training takes place on local roads, near to participants' homes or workplaces to build confidence and skills on regular journeys.
