Most trains in the county will carry at least two bikes. The two and four car units have entrances marked by cycle logos denoting where there is space designated for cycles. On the London trains there is generally a guards van. Cycle reservations are usually advised for these trains. It's always best to check beforehand and the online National Rail journey planner shows which trains have 'cycle policies'. Folding bikes have no restrictions provided they are folded. some operators prefer them to be bagged too.

An exception to this is Beacons Bus running on
Sundays and Bank Holidays in the summer months from all sorts of
places in South Wales and Herefordshire taking you up into the
National Park to return that evening. In 2008 they run from 25th
May (Whit Bank Holiday Sunday) until 28th Sept. The following
services take bicycles:
B1 Cardiff - Brecon
B4 Abergavenny - Brecon
B17 Hay-on-Wye - Offa's Dyke (Longtown, Llanfihangel, Pandy &
Craswall) (2 bikes max)
