Travel Fund
What is 'TravelFund'?
A new Business Travel Grant designed to help organisations to introduce practical measures to promote alternative, more sustainable ways to travel and, in particular, to reduce single-occupancy car commuting.
Who can apply?
Businesses in Herefordshire who have produced or are in the process of developing a Travel Plan are eligible to apply for funding.
How much money is available?
Businesses can apply for funding up to a maximum of £1,000 towards implementing measures detailed in a Travel Action Plan. This can be 100% of the project costs.
What will the grant cover?
Funding will be available for a wide range of sustainable travel products and initiatives, to meet the specific needs of the individual business. These could include:
- personal alarms for employees
- secure cycle racks or shelters
- cycle helmets and wet weather gear
- pool/ folding bikes for business use
- cycle training for employees
- providing Public Transport information
- IT equipment to enable tele-working
- additional lighting on walkways
How to apply
If you are interested in submitting an application or want to know more about Travel Plans please contact us ( see below for contact details ). We can offer guidance on your application and provide you with supplier contacts and cost estimates.
Applications will be accepted throughout the year and we aim to process applications within 1 month. Only one application may be submitted per organisation.
Once you have discussed your application, complete the TravelFund Application form and forward it to:
