About the Local Transport Plan (LTP)
A Local Transport Plan (LTP) is a statutory document which includes a local authority's local transport strategies and policies, and an implementation programme. Herefordshire Council's existing LTP2 will be rolled forward on an interim basis from the 1st April 2011. The Council is in the process of refreshing this plan and this will be formalised once the key infrastructure requirements for the County have been agreed through the Local Development Framework (LDF) process.
The LDF Consultation 'Help plan the future of Herefordshire' identifies a revised preferred development option for the county and this consultation includes information on the proposed strategic transport schemes for Hereford. The consultation leaflet can be viewed here.
The refreshed Local Transport Plan and in particular the Hereford Transport Strategy will reflect the strategic decisions that are taken in relation to the LDF following this important consultation. Please note this consultation closes on the 28th November 2011.
