The council and The Courtyard Centre for the Arts would like to know what live events, films and music you want to include in the 2011 Out in the Sticks festival.

To put forward your suggestions, please contact Lynsey Radmore on 01432 260244 or email diversity@herefordshire.gov.uk.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Out in the Sticks

Out in the Sticks logo with rainbow apple Out in the Sticks is Herefordshire's annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT)  festival. The event is held as part of an International Day against homo and trans phobia, which is on 17 May.

During the week 12-19 May 2012 there will be a wide range of events that everyone is encouraged to be part of, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity - you don't have to be L,G,B or T to enjoy the programme!

Headling next year's festival will be 4 Poofs and a Piano (www.4poofsandapiano.com) made famous as the house band on the BBC's Friday Night with Jonathan Ross Show.

We will post more events here as and when they are confirmed.

The festival is organised by the Rainbow Forum, a local LGBT group, in partnership with the Courtyard Centre for the Arts, Herefordshire Council and NHS Herefordshire and funded by local organisations such as West Mercia Police and Herefordshire Housing.

Herefordshire is more accessible than you might think; there are direct trains right into the city centre from London, Manchester, Worcester, Birmingham and Wales, so come along and show your support whilst having a great time!

Brochures are available throughout Herefordshire at Info Shops, Tourist Information Centres, Libraries and at the Courtyard Centre for the Arts to name but a few.  For full information about what's happening visit www.outinthesticks.org.uk or call 07732 074900.
