The Safe Places campaign is in its infancy at the moment. There are Safe Places dotted around the county where people with a learning disability can go if they are the victim of bullying or hate crime. The Safe Place will display a poster to let people know that their employees are trained to look after vulnerable people who may feel unsafe or afraid. The person with a learning disability will carry a card with the name and contact details of someone they would like to call in the event of something happening.
If your establishment would like to be a Safe Place, please contact the Corporate Diversity Team on 01432 260244 or email diversity@herefordshire.gov.uk.
