Working in partnership for the people of Herefordshire

No Prejudice in HEREfordshire

No Prejudice in Herefordshire logo The idea for this campaign came from individuals in Herefordshire who wanted to challenge discrimination in the county and not just racism. The campaign is not saying prejudice doesn’t exist in our county, we all know that it does and that it can come in varying degrees and guises.

Led by the Herefordshire Equality Partnership and managed by the Council’s Equality, Human Rights and Partnership Team, the campaign is encouraging businesses, schools and other organisations to display a poster and individuals to wear a badge that signifies that prejudicial and discriminatory language will be challenged – in the nicest possible way! Challenging someone doesn’t have to be aggressive or negative. Challenging is just expressing what you feel is the inappropriate use of language. By reacting in this way you are showing that you don’t agree with the discriminatory or prejudicial thoughts or words of others.

By supporting the campaign the people and organisations of Herefordshire can help make “No prejudice in HEREfordshire” more than a slogan, it can be fact.

Posters, pin badges and t-shirts available free of charge.
