Flood Prevention

It is often the case that very little can be done to prevent flooding, but at least you can be prepared for it.

The Environment Agency website contains information on simple steps you can take to protect yourself and your property from the worst effects of flooding. Here you will be able to find out how to make a family flood plan, get details of suppliers of flood boards and sandbags and get tips on flood proofing your home.

The Environment Agency has also produced a leaflet giving practical advice on preparing your property for a flood. The leaflet can be downloaded by clicking this link to the Preparing for a Flood advice guide contained on the Environment Agency's website.
