Erica Hermon - Resilience Team Manager

Erica joined the Resilience Team in November 2009 before becoming the Resilience Team Manager in April 2010.

Erica holds a Master in Defence Studies from Kings College London.  Prior to joining the Local Authority, Erica was a Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force responsible for planning the military's operational and logistics contributions to operations overseas.

Ian joined the team in July 2002.

Ian holds a Diploma in Emergency Planning from Coventry University and is a Member of the Emergency Planning Society.  Ian was involved with incidents such as the Legionnaires outbreak, the Skymark Fire, flooding, snow etc.  Ian has extensive experience of operational activities such as Rest Centre Management.  Ian is involved in  training and plan exercising.

Alex Bartoszewicz - Emergency Planning Officer (Environment)

Alex joined the team in September 2011.

Alex holds a Disaster Management and Emergency Planning BSc Honours (Sandwich) degree from Coventry University and is a Member of the Emergency Planning Society

Paul Dubberley - Emergency Planning Officer (Health)

Paul joined the team in August 2010 but has a long association with Herefordshire as a former Police Officer.

Paul achieved an MSc in the Study of Public Order and brings a wealth of operational command and control experience to the team. Paul maintains a keen interest in training and plan exercising.

Nigel Thomas - Emergency Planning Officer (Business Continuity)

Nije joined the team in December 2006 from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.  Prior to this Nije was an air traffic control officer the RAF for 33 years but, in the latter years, undertook contingency and business continuity planning.

He holds a diploma in Business Continuity Management from Coventry University and the BCI Certificate, and is a member of the Emergency Planning Society and the Business Continuity Institute.

Marcel Paschedag - Emergency Planning Officer (Business Continuity - Health)

Marcel joined the team in December 2011 and has a keen interest in emergency and crisis management.  He graduated with a masters degree from Leiden University, The Netherlands, in 1995 in Public Administration.  He is an experienced trainer trainer/consultant with a strong embedding in learning and development.  He worked at the Dutch Institute for Safety (NIFV) where he was involved in multi-agency crisis management.  His experiences range from drinking water crisis to developing Continuous Personal Development (CPD) for training managers from the emergency services and public bodies.

In the Resilience Team his main focus is on Business Continuity for Wye Valley NHS Trust and the provision of fuel to maintain critical services.

Annie Lilwall - Administration Support

Annie has 22 years of Local Government experience and provides admin support to the team. She is a trained emergency loggist and rest centre manager and has been involved in a number of incidents - Foot & Mouth, Legionnaires outbreak, Skymark and adverse weather.
