Avian influenza (bird flu)

Avian influenza is a highly infectious notifiable disease affecting many species of birds, including commercial, wild and pet birds.

If you need to report dead wild gulls, waders, ducks, geese or swans, groups of dead birds or need advice on avian flu, please contact the Defra Helpline 08459 33 55 77 and choose the Avian Influenza option which will be open from 6am until 10pm or log onto the website at http://www.defra.gov.uk/.
