Girls and Women's Football Development
Football is undoubtedly the number one sport for women and
girls in England. Last season alone saw 133,000 players compete
in affiliated league and cup competitions with 1.6 million
women and girl's taking part in recreational football across
the Country.
There is one full-time dedicated Girls and Women's Officer who
oversees and is responsible for the development of the female
game across the whole of Herefordshire - this includes working
with:
- Individual Players
- Coaches, Volunteers and Officials
- Leagues
- Clubs
- Schools
- Community Groups
All Football Development Programmes aim to enhance the quality
and quantity of opportunities for women and girls to get involved
and progress in the game. This work will be enhanced by a part-time
Girls and Women's Community Coach throughout 2008.
