Sports Referral Project

Provides and facilitates sport and physical activity as a diversionary activity for people at risk of problematic drug use and crime. Referrals are received from a range of agencies, such as DASH, the Youth Offending Team and the Drug Intervention Programme (DIP). The project aims to:

Target people who are most at risk of problematic drug use
Identify appropriate sports and physical activity
Identify training and mentoring
Overcome barriers to access sports and physical activity
Improve life skills of those who are most at risk
