Grounds maintenance

Grounds maintenance at all of the county's parks and open spaces is managed by the Parks, Countryside and Leisure Development Service in partnership with Amey Herefordshire.

The work is monitored by the Parks Team to ensure that grass cutting is undertaken when needed, the trees are kept healthy and the towns floral displays are installed in time for the holiday season.

Highway verges

Verges are cut in May and August each year. If a verge is overgrown and causing visibility issues, please contact us on 01432 261800 or email streets@herefordshire.gov.uk with the location details (street name, road number and any landmarks) and your name and contact details.

Housing association enquiries

If you are a tenant of a housing association or have a query about grounds maintenance on land owned by a housing association you must contact them directly as this work is not managed by Herefordshire Council. 

Please note that all housing land that was once managed by Herefordshire Council was transferred to Herefordshire Housing Ltd in 2002.
