Play Areas

Herefordshire Council play areas are managed  by the Parks, Countryside and Leisure Development Service and maintained by Amey Herefordshire. All equipment in these play areas complies with the British Safety Standards and all new play areas that are installed now also comply with the European Safety Guidelines and the Disability Discrimination Act.

All play areas undergo regular safety checks to ensure they are not damaged by vandalism or natural wear and tear and continue to meet health and safety requirements.

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) also undertakes inspections of all play areas in the county each year.

If you have an enquiry about a play area please contact:

Play Consultation for Aylestone Park

We currently have £72,000 to build a play area for Aylestone Park, we are hoping to raise this to around £100,000 through grants, which will provide a playground on the scale of the one at Prospect Walk, Hereford.

To begin the process of designing a playground we are inviting members of the public to complete a questionnaire (see below).
