Funding secured from the 'Green Grass' project which was administered by the Countryside Agency in partnership with Advantage West Midlands enabled us to make some substantial improvements to the Arboretum in 2003 in celebration of it's Golden Jubilee.
- At the viewpoint a telescope was installed to help you see more details in the view.
- The children's play area was developed and a large new multi-play unit has been installed with wheelchair access.
Improved signage and interpretation in and around the country park.
- Improvements were also undertaken in the picnic area, with better drainage and newly seeded grass to ensure it is a pleasant place to sit throughout the year
Improvements continue each year and this year a new map and guide to the park has been produced (available from the Tourist Information Centre priced 75p) and new signs have been installed in the arboretum to help you find your way.
