Improvements at Queenswood

January 2010: A successful bid to the county's Playbuilders Project has secured the offer of funding to help develop new play facilities for the 8-13 ages range at Queenswood. The emphasis is on developing new opportunities for children to experience stimulating and interesting "natural" play opportunities utilising natural materials and existing features so the new is in-keeping with the existing landscape and natural environment. Following consultation the final construction works should be complete for an opening event in early 2011.

Queenswood Arboretum now also has many specimen trees recorded as Herefordshire and British "Champion Trees" - these have had special labels put up for them - look out for the red writing to find these extra special trees as you walk around the Arboretum area.
