Parks and Open Spaces

[Photo of King George V playing fields, Hereford] Herefordshire has a wealth of Parks and Open Spaces, which offer a quiet retreat from the hustle-bustle of town life and provide a safe haven in which you can enjoy various leisure pursuits or simply relax and take some fresh air.

The Parks and Countryside Service is responsible for the management of the parks and selected sites are regularly patrolled at night by a security service employed by the Council.

Dos and don’ts

Please note that although local byelaws vary, the following list of ‘dos and don’ts’ apply at all of the Herefordshire Council managed Parks and Open Spaces:

  • The driving of Motor Vehicles is prohibited
  • Camping is prohibited
  • The lighting of fires is prohibited
  •  Please clean up after your dog at ALL sites, even where bins are not provided.
  • Please take all litter home or use the litter bins where provided.
