Countryside Sites

There are various countryside sites and picnic places in the county - all are a great place to stop to take in the local scenery and enjoy the Herefordshire countryside.

Many of the sites are also access points for the loop walks and recreational routes in the county.

Dos and don’ts
Please note that although local byelaws vary, the following list of ‘dos and don’ts’ apply at all of the Herefordshire Council managed Countryside Sites and Picnic Places:

• No overnight parking
• No camping
• No boating or sailing
• The lighting of fires is prohibited
• Dogs should be under close control at all times or kept on a lead
• Please clean up after your dog at ALL sites, even where bins are not provided.
• Please take all litter home or use the litter bins where provided
• No fishing
• Follow the Countryside Code
