Newton Coppice

[Photo of Newton Coppice, Hereford] The 15 hectares of ancient semi-natural woodland are a great place to visit to walk your dog, look out for wildlife or simply enjoy a relaxing evening stroll.

The woodland is part of the parish of Clehonger and was once part of the Royal Forest of Haywood, which stretched 3 miles south of Hereford.

The site has received funding through the Herefordshire Sustain Project and easy-access paths have been installed to make the main route around the woodland accessible to all.

A 'Footprints in South Wye' Walking For Health route has also been installed around the wood, which has been calorie counted so that you can gauge how many calories you use as you walk around the trail.

Please note there is no parking on site or along the A465(T)
