Forces in Action
Do you know your newtons? This session allows children to use their
creative and deductive skills to make their own forcemeter. They
will also measure the gravitational force of museum objects in
newtons, first in air and then in water. This session is for
children with some prior knowledge.
Children will:
- Make and calibrate a forcemeter
- Use a forcemeter to measure force in newton's
- Measure objects in air and water
- Investigate different forces acting on an object
- Record their findings
- Handle museum objects
- reinforce vocabulary
