Pre school groups

Pre schools can join the library very easily. All they need is to fill in a joining form with a contact name, address and telephone number for someone at the setting. Pre school staff will then be able to borrow up to twenty books free of charge for up to 3 months at a time. We don't even charge you for late or lost books! Books can be renewed over the telephone, online or by popping in to the library if you need to keep them for longer. You can even keep your library card at the library desk so that it doesn't get lost!

We have a large selection of books in stock for settings to choose from including the latest titles and old favourites. A collection of  dual language books are also available for borrowing.

Sharing books with children aged between 3 and 5 years old will have a direct influence on their motivation to learn to read and to become readers for life. At this stage children begin to display reading behaviours that are common to all readers and it is really important to us that we can help playgroups and parents in encouraging a love of books in children from an early age.
