Friends of the Master's House (Ledbury)

The Friends of the Master's House is a new group, formed in January 2008, from a public meeting about the development and future of the Master's House, Ledbury.

The Friends are a varied group of interested citizens, who are working with the newly formed Master's House Action Group.

The Friends of the Master's House exist to raise the profile of the Master's House in the community and to encourage use of all facilities. The group will support the Master's House by fundraising, by giving voluntary support and by helping the Action Group work on development projects. The Friends are working with Herefordshire Council and the Action Group to raise issues concerning the Master's House, ranging from development on the new library, community use of rooms and the appropriate storage of the John Masefield Society collections.

The Friends group is very keen to invite any interested people to join the group and attend the meetings. Notes of the meetings are available in Ledbury Library and there is a comment book for the Master's House development in the Tourist Information Centre, Info in Herefordshire offices and Ledbury Library. Any comments will be fed into the friends and action groups will be noted and answered.

Meetings in 2008 will be held in the Master's House on the following dates. Everyone is welcome:

May 21st 10:00am, June 24th 2:00pm, July 28th 5:30pm, August 29th 10:00am, September 25th 10:00am, October 22nd 5:30pm, November 25th 10:00am, December 15th, 2:00pm
