We are currently consulting on the mobile library service, to give your views visit the online consultation >>
We have two new mobile libraries that cover the length and breadth of Herefordshire offering the rural community a chance to visit and choose books, DVDs and talking books. The library vans have ramps for ease of access, air conditioning, heating, easy to use shelving and some seating.
The mobile library visits every three weeks with larger villages also receiving a visit every third Saturday. To work out when the mobile library will next visit your village
Details of the routes and times of stops can also be found in your local library or by telephoning 01432 260645.
Library tickets can be used both on the mobile library and in branch libraries. Books can be renewed via the link on the right, in any Herefordshire library, INFO centre or by telephone on 01432 383600. Each mobile library has access to details of items in all libraries in the county and we can order books and other items from the library catalogue and have them ready for your next visit free of charge. Items can returned to any mobile library stop or Herefordshire library.
The mobile library service is a window on the wider library service and our staff are very happy to advise, help and promote reading and our services.
We provide a home delivery service for people who cannot visit a town or village library or one of the mobile library stops. We contact the customer and talk about the kind of books and materials they would like and then a selection of books and other items is delivered to them and regularly exchanged by library staff or volunteers. Please contact us for more information about this service using the details below.
