How do I join the Library?

It's FREE

Ask in a library for a membership form. Get your parent or carer to fill out the form, and show us a piece of identification, which shows their name, address and signature. Something like a utility bill or driving license is perfect.

We will give you a card that you can use at any library in Herefordshire.

What can I Borrow?

You can choose up to 12 Books.

You can keep the books for up to 3 weeks.

You can also borrow DVDs, music CDs and talking books with people reading stories and PlayStation games

How do I know when to bring my books back?

A date is stamped inside the book to remind you when to bring them back.

Provided nobody else wants it you can borrow the book again by bringing it back to the Library with your ticket. You can also phone the library to renew your books or renew them on this website.

We don't charge fines on books borrowed by under 5s.

Reservations

If you can't find what you want on the shelves but it is on the library catalogue you can reserve it for yourself for free, either at the library or through the online catalogue. You will need to get a PIN from the library to use with your library card.
