  • Eaton Bishop Gardening Club have organised a coach holiday to France in May 2008, staying in Rouen and visiting gardens in the Normandy area. At this stage we can see there will be some vaccancies on this holiday and are inviting anyone who is interested to join us. We are staying four nights in Rouen on a Bed, breakfast and evening meal basis and the full cost of the holiday, including entrance to the gardens is £330.   • Using A Digital Camera: a basic introduction to digital photography, this practical course is designed to help you to get to grips with your own camera and its interaction with the computer.
  • This course is aimed at those who would like to develop skills to produce publications. It is designed to build on the basic computer knowledge already gained. Course content: During a typical course you will have the opportunity to: plan, design and create design drafts for a proposed publication (posters and newsletters), use Microsoft Publisher 2000 or 2003 to create and use templates to produce publications, Create and apply a variety of text styles to publications, use a variety of page layouts (orientation, headers & footers, page numbering), import text and graphics, save documents to disk, find saved documents, print documents, retrieve files for amendment.

  • Contemporary photography that addresses human, social and cultural issues, locally, nationally and internationally. This year’s exhibition features the work of the South African photographer, David Goldblatt, one of the most important documentary photographers working today. This will be the first time this exhibition has been seen in UK.

Festivals and Events

Photo of Ledbury Poetry Festival An array of festivals and special events take place throughout the year around the County. These include Ledbury Poetry Festival and Leominster Festival both in June, Herefordshire Photography Festival and Flavours of Herefordshire Food Festival which both take place in October and the highly acclaimed Three Choirs Festival which rotates between Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester in August. This year it will take place in Worcester, (please see links below to some of the festival websites).
