Brief description of organisation
In seven years Borderlines has grown to become the biggest film festival in the whole of the Midlands and in 2009 it consisted of 70 films, 153 screenings and events in 28 different venues across Herefordshire and Shropshire and on the parameters in Powys and Worcestershire. Festival strands this year included Best of British, Children’s Films, Comic Release Comedy Season, Cuban Season, World Cinema. 35 speakers (directors, film experts, journalists, panellists) came to Borderlines to take part in introductions, question and answer sessions and debates. The special events included a BAFTA/ ScreenWM Gala Screening presented by producer David Parfitt, Chair of BAFTA. The Festival will run from Friday 26 February to Sunday 14 March in 2010.
