Brief description of organisation
ECHO offers opportunities for disabled people in Herefordshire to take part in a variety of activities in their community. This includes sport and leisure; arts and crafts; learning; social; and volunteering activities. Founded in 1995 as a part of ECHO, About Face Theatre Company is the only professional theatre company for people with learning disabilities in Herefordshire. Working to a high standard, the company aims to offer stimulating and original theatre that is both challenging and entertaining. Each show is the result of months of work and a creative personal journey for every member of the team. Although based in Leominster the company’s shows have toured all over the country, as well as playing to schools and communities in Herefordshire. The company caters for a variety of different audiences through public performance, small and large scale community projects, school workshops and performances, and conference pieces.
