Brief description of organisation
The Ledbury Poetry Festival is the biggest and best poetry festival in the UK. The annual summer festival over 10 days in early July is filled with an eclectic and exciting array of events, featuring poets and performers from all over the world. There are live readings, performances, workshops, open mics, music, exhibitions, films family events, street events, the slam, and much more. The Festival also runs a prestigious international poetry competition which is judged by the Poet in Residence. The Festival also holds a year round programme of literature development in the community and are currently working on a specific literature project based around adult literacy and migrant workers (for which they have a separate Service Level Agreement).
