Now in its eighteenth year, the Craft Fair is a well established event which attracts a high volume of visitors who are keen to buy or commission a unique piece of craft. It is a showcase of the finest contemporary craft from Herefordshire and the UK.

A New Exhibitor Award is given to a Herefordshire maker who has not previously exhibited at this event - this includes a subsidised stand and extra promotion. A Best Product Award is also made, as voted by visitors to the fair.

An imaginative approach to tackling perceptions of our city and town centres is being adopted by Herefordshire Council’s Arts team.  Windows on Art is the name of the scheme that aims to maintain colour and vitality on our popular shopping streets.  The windows of empty shops will display interventions by the Councies artists.  In Hereford we are seeking locations to become The Space- a ‘pop-up gallery’ in the city centre that groups, organisations and individuals can hire for a month at a time to display artwork, creative ideas, projects and activities. 

Grants are available to assist professional artists and artist groups with the costs of creating their installations or to create their own ideas to show in empty shops anywhere in the county.
