The Record Office in Harold Street is our base and is sign-posted off the A438 (Ledbury Road) and the B4224 (Hampton Bishop, Mordiford, Fownhope Road) on the outskirts of the city to the south-east. There is also a 'How to Find Us Map' which can be found in the 'Planning To Visit Us' section. Just click on the link to the right of this page.
Lost Property
We have listed the unclaimed items of lost property left here by some of our visitors. A list can be found on the Record Office News page. If you recognise anything as yours please contact us.
Property Valuation Registers
The registers showing property valuations in Herefordshire under the Finance Act 1910 have been microfilmed and are once again available for viewing.
Opening Hours
From 1st June 2009 Herefordshire Record Office changed its opening hours to:

The telephone will continue to be answered and e-mails picked up on the closed Mondays. These altered hours will allow Archive Service staff to carry out further work on essential background tasks such as cataloguing and indexing, production of other finding aids, website development and conservation.
There will initially be a 6 month trial with a review in December 2009 - all comments are welcomed.
