Talks

Members of the Record Office staff can come to meetings and talk about various aspects of their work. We make no charge for talks but welcome donations.

Topics include family history; house history; the work of a conservator; the census; the work of the Record Office; record office holdings (based on the area in which the group is located); looking after your records; palaeography (reading old handwriting) and more.

If you have a topic or area that you'd like to hear us talk about - please ask - and we'll do what we can!

Please note that staff can often be booked up for talks some time in advance. We advise you to ask as early as possible!

N.B. For talks to schools see our Archives in Education page.
