Archive Service Information Leaflets
The following leaflets have been produced for your information. The information contained within some of them can also be found on our web pages. Please see the links in the 'related pages' box below the 'resource box' on the right.
The 'resource box' contains those which are available as pdf documents. However, please note that (apart from the Photocopying Guidelines) in the original format the leaflets are A5 size booklets and if printed may not appear as they should. We would be happy to send you a hard copy if you wish, just e-mail
archives@herefordshire.gov.uk and tell us which one(s) you would like, remembering to include your full postal address.
Hard copies of the leaflet
'Keeping the Records of Parish Councils: best practice guidelines' are not yet available but the information can be obtained by downloading the pdf file shown on the right.
The
'Record keeping Guidelines for Herefordshire Parish Churches' guidelines have been written for the benefit of members of the clergy, churchwardens and PCC secretaries who may have queries regarding their responsibilities for record keeping as set out in the Parochial Registers and Records Measure. It also explains what to do with completed registers and explains our responsibilities as the Diocesan Record Office and how we can help with queries from members of the public about the searching of registers.
