Newspapers

A part sun-browned newspaper

Some facts about Newspaper

  • It is made from the poorest quality wood pulp and full of lignin - made to last one day!
  • If you leave it in a cool, dark place, it will last for a hundred years or more and still be reasonably white and flexible, but if you leave it outside on a hot sunny day the lignin will absorb the ultra violet light which will age the newspaper rapidly and turn it yellow and brittle.
