Here are the headlines:
- Number of registered schools in: the UK 76%, Herefordshire 81%
- Number of Get Set network schools in: the UK 53%; Herefordshire 54%
- Number of Ticketshare eligible Get Set network schools in the UK 55%; Herefordshire's exact figure is not yet confirmed. Every school [with the exception of infant and pre schools] that had applied to be a networked school by 16th December 2011 will be given an allocation of TicketShare tickets.
The deadline for Get Set network applications to qualify for Ticketshare tickets has now passed and LOCOG will be updating those schools that qualified of the next steps in January. For those that haven’t yet applied to join the Get Set network, there are still lots of reasons to do so in 2012 and there will be opportunities to drive engagement through the Torch Relay, Cultural Olympiad, World Sport Day etc.
The official London 2012 education programme, ‘Get Set’ has been up and running since August 2008 and already has thousands of schools and colleges registered. The programme has been developed by LOCOG and the DCSF and is catering for educational establishments working with children and young people from the age of 3 to 19.
To date around 81% of schools and colleges in Herefordshire have registered on the site and are already benefiting from the opportunities it is offering.

Registering is only the first step! Of the 81% of schools that have registered around 54% of them have joined the network, Why join the network?

-Tickets to the London 2012 Games! - Schools that had joined the Get Set network by December 16th 2011 also prequalified their school or college for an allocation of London 2012 Ticketshare.
