As the County's largest employer, Herefordshire Council employs
more than 5,000 full-time, part-time, and temporary members of
staff.
It offers its staff a wide range of career opportunities and
development across some 700 services.
Being such a large employer, there is always a turnover of staff
and the authority is continually recruiting.
These vacant posts are advertised in the local and specialised
press. They are also advertised here the Council website - to view
these select "Current Positions" from the left
hand menu of this page. Here application forms can
be downloaded and submitted on line.
Please note: To use the Online
Application service you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer
v5.0 or later. If you do not have IE5.0+, click on the link at the
foot of this page to search the Microsoft Site for the latest
version for download.
You cannot currently use the Online Application service
with other browsers such as Firefox, Opera, Safari and Netscape.
The service is also unavailable for Mac computers even if you use
Internet Explorer on it.

The Herefordshire Council positively supports New Deal and is working in partnership with Job Centre Plus and its training partner CSV to place New Deal trainees within the Council.
