New charge points coming to Herefordshire

The council car park charge point expansion will begin at the end of January with the installation of a charging hub in Broad Street car park in Leominster. This will include the first ultra-rapid charge point in a council car park.


Where would you like to see more charge points?

We are looking for potential new locations for public charge points, particularly to support those residents that have to park on-street. If you own or are thinking of buying an electric vehicle (EV) and would like to suggest a location for a new charge point - please complete our charge point suggestion form.

Our electric vehicle charge points

WENEA charge point for electric vehicle, with Herefordshire Council brandingCouncil car parks currently contain a combination of 7kW and 50kW chargers. The 7kW chargers are run by WENEA and the 50kW chargers are run by SWARCO.

You can get a free 30-minute parking ticket to display in your electric or hybrid vehicle at council-owned, off-street car parks, while you plug in and charge. Electricity at all charge points in council car parks is subject to a fee.

The charge points are part of the national network.
