Herefordshire Aerial Archaeological Survey 2008-2011

English Heritage have provided funding to commence a new three year aerial survey project recording the archaeology of Herefordshire. Flying from Staverton airfield (Gloucester) and Shobdon aerodrome, the survey will primarily target the south of the county where current coverage is more patchy than for the rest of the county. The potential for discovering new sites in this part of the county was highlighted in the last flight of the previous project, where 12 of the 21 sites recorded were new.
