These are properties built and sold at a price lower than the open market value to households in housing need who could not otherwise afford to purchase. The Herefordshire Council negotiates the sale price with the developer and a lower than market price remains in perpetuity, tied by legal covenant on future sales. This type of property is either advertised by the developer or by Home Point Herefordshire on the Home Point website and in the free weekly Admag, or by local estate agents.

To buy this type of property you must be able to raise a mortgage and deposit to cover the sale price. You will undergo a financial assessment to ensure eligibility.
