The Role of Private Sector Landlords

The Herefordshire Council recognises the valuable role that the private rented sector plays in helping to meet housing need within the whole of the County. We are keen to work in partnership with private landlords and agents to promote good practice and encourage the provision of sustainable, good quality accommodation.

The Council currently facilitates a Landlords Focus Group that meet three time every year. The aim of the group is to ensure that private sector landlords, agents, and other individuals involved in the sector have an active involvement and influence on the services we provide.
