Street numbering and naming

Where a new development gives rise to a street naming process the Building Control Department deals with the naming and numbering in consultation with the Post Code Centre and Parish Councils.

Developers should submit suggested names and a block plan showing all properties on the development to the Building Control Department as early on in the development as possible to avoid problems in relation to prospective purchasers obtaining a post code to enable connection to essential services.
