The Spatial Report illustrates the links between the Core Strategy and the Herefordshire Community Strategy and other plans, policies and strategies.
The Spatial Portrait highlights the key characteristics of the county which have helped to identify the issues which need to be addressed within the Core Strategy.
The Cross Boundary Issues Report appraises the development plans being prepared in neighbouring local planning authorities in order to determine any impact or issues for the Herefordshire Core Strategy.
The Final Vision and Objectives Background paper sets out the revised Vision and Objectives for the Core Strategy. These have been developed following on from responses to the Developing Options Paper, Vision workshops and targeted external consultation in February 2009.
The Climate Change Background Paper has being prepared to highlight the implications changes in climate could have on the county and issues the Core Strategy needs to address whilst formulating its spatial strategy and policy.
The Analysis of Parish and Market Town Issues compares the issues raised by parish plans, village design statements and market town reports (not all market towns have produced these) with the 14 key issues identified within the Core Strategy.
The Rural Settlement Hierarchy Background Paper reviews the hierarchy that was used for the Unitary Development Plan and updates it to take into account recent guidance, current research and up to date survey information. It introduces the concept of Rural Service Centres and suggests options for how a settlement hierarchy could be implemented in Herefordshire.
The Spatial Strategy Background Paper provides a detailed explanation of the Spatial Strategy. This explains what the spatial vision and strategic objectives mean for the future development of Hereford, the markets towns and the rural areas.
The Affordable Housing Background Paper will provide evidence and information to support the affordable housing policy direction and wording.
