Retail Study

Retail Study (PPS4 Assessment)

The Retail Study, prepared in accordance with the requirements set out within Planning Policy Statement 4: Planning for sustainable economic growth (PPS4), is being undertaken by consultants to provide the need for further retail, leisure, office and other main town centre uses within Herefordshire. The focus of the study is on Hereford City and the five market towns.

This study is intended to form part of the evidence base supporting the retail and town centre policies within the Council's Local Development Framework (LDF).

As well as assessing the need, the study will also address deficiencies in provision and the capacity of existing centres to accommodate new development.
