Hereford Area Plan
What stage are we at: Evidence gathering
Hereford is a Settlement of Significant Development within the Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) and has New Growth Point Status. As a result this plan will set out proposals for the delivery of sustainable housing and other growth in Hereford. This will include regeneration proposals within the urban area.
The plan will seek to ensure that growth is accommodated in a way in which recognises, supports and shapes Hereford’s ‘sense of place’
The first consultation stage of the Hereford Area Plan will be ‘Place Shaping’ Consultation that is due to take place in early 2010. This consultation will incorporate further options for Core Strategy and the ‘Issues’ stage of the Hereford Area Plan and the Market Towns and Rural Areas Plan.
It is anticipated that the Hereford Area Plan will be adopted in September 2012.
