Archaeology and Development Supplementary Planning Document

This Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out those measures the Council will employ where archaeology is considered material to any planning decision.

The document aims to assist all those with an interest in development where the historic environment is affected and where the presence of archaeological deposits or 'historic assets' can constrain or modify development proposals.

The Council has now published a draft version of the document for consultation purposes and is to consider its response to the comments made.
