Biodiversity Opportunity Mapping in Herefordshire

The Biodiversity Opportunity Mapping exercise in Herefordshire wass part of a regional exercise that aimed to produce a habitat opportunity map using the best available data and knowledge to assess opportunities for biodiversity delivery. Each County in the formerly known West Midlands Region has produced a map with the assistance of funding from Defra to fit into a "regional" picture.

The maps can be used for a variety of functions including planning for the Local Development Framework and Green Infrastructure strategy, steering biodiversity delivery and provide a focus for landscape-scale biodiversity projects. The map is available to preview below in a layered pdf format along with a guidance note.
