The Partnership

The Biodiversity Partnership Co-coordinator is managed by a steering group or “project management group” who meet on a quarterly basis. The Co-ordinator post is funded by Natural England and Herefordshire Council. The project management group consists of the following members:

  • Joanne Hackman – Principal Ecologist, Herefordshire Council
  • Juliet Wheatley – Team Leader (Landscape & Biodiversity Team), Herefordshire Council
  • Antony Muller – Natural England
  • Francesca Griffith – Herefordshire Nature Trust
  • Nick Smith – (Interim Chair) Forestry Commission
  • Nicky Davies - Herefordshire Biodiversity Partnership Co-ordinator
  • Rachel Price - Herefordshire Biological Records Centre (HBRC)

The chairperson’s role is alternated between the two funding partners on an annual basis. The bulk of the work undertaken is guided by a “Memorandum of Agreement” administered by Natural England which lists core services to be delivered by both the partnership co-ordinator and the wider partnership.
