Funding Introduction

Funding

The Herefordshire BAP Partnership is currently in the process of writing a funding strategy for the County. This will entail a list of costed actions, what funding opportunities are available, and what needs to be done to ensure effective application writing. This draft plan can be found here. News on its development will be updated on a regular basis and available both on this website, and in “Biodiversity News”.

In 2007, the Project Development Unit within Herefordshire Council ran workshops in conjunction with Herefordshire Biodiversity Partnership to assist partners in effective business planning and also effectively filling out funding applications. The presentations from these workshops can be found here along with some other handouts that were circulated at the workshops.

A selection of funding bodies is listed below. Each and every one is unique and has individual requirements such as match funding, minimum or maximum project size, project themes (access, research, education, site maintenance, community benefit, charitable status, BAP priority status).
