Our obligation to you, the Care leaver
If you are leaving, or have left care, we can provide help for you in a number of ways;- We can help you make plans for the future (a pathway plan)
- If you are 16 or 17 yrs old and have left Care, we have to financially support you (much as we would have done had you remained in Care)
- We need to try to keep in touch with you until you are 21 years old (or 24 years if you go on to higher education)
- We will do all that we can to encourage you into work, education or training and we will support you there
- We will try to make sure you have a decent place to live
- We will do all that we can to help you prepare for living independently.
